Va Sand Soccer Championships 2024 Soccer
It's that time again! We can't believe this is BSVB's 3rd year in operation! Thanks to you who keeping coming back!
BSVB is so excited to be operating the 2024 Virginia Sand Soccer Championships (VSSC) at Buckroe Beach on June 1-2, 2024.
This tournament is a mainstay on the peninsula and an event that players/teams/families look forward to each year.
We look forward to making it better and better each year with your participation! and continue the long-standing tradition!
The VSSC is:
- the "unofficial" start to summer
- a great weekend in the sun and sand by the water
- the capstone of an amazing end of classic soccer season
- a great warm-up for NASSC
With more runway this year, we intend to host robust divisions in the following groups: youth (girls and boys), HS (girls and boys) and we are seeing what the appetite is for Adult (coed).
Registration information:
- Team Fees
- $515 - Feb 1st until May 1st
- $525 from May 2nd - May 24th
- Registration
- All teams shall be allowed a maximum of 10 players on their roster, except the U08, U09 & U10 Boys and Girls. These divisions are allowed a maximum of 12 players on their roster.
- Players must be listed on the roster at registration check-in to be eligible to play; no additions to the roster are permitted after the team has submitted the roster to VSSC.
- Females may play in male divisions, but males cannot play in female divisions.
- Youth Division
- Youth division age groups are based on US Club Soccer Birth year matrix for the 2023-2024 seasonal year. Here: Birth Year Matrix
- Youth Only: Players may play UP in age group, but no team can include a player playing DOWN in age. Teams in all divisions must enter the division (birth year) for the oldest player on their team.
- High School Division
- Players must be at least 14 years old by Friday, June 2, 2024 and be in High School during the 2023-2024 school year. 2024 graduating high-school seniors are eligible. If you have graduated earlier than May/June 2024, you are not eligible to participate. Plainly put: players should be in highschool or graduating from high school at the time of the tournament.
- Adult Coed Division
- Teams shall include a minimum of 3 female players on their roster, 2 of which should be on the field during play.
- If only one female is available due to injury, the team must play down a player. If there are no females available, the team must play down two (2) players. All Coed Division teams shall have a maximum of 3 male players on the field at any time.
- Registration Program
- This year we are using League Apps for team registrations.
- A team manager registers the team and can have players sign up or send them an invite to join the team.
- Payment will be due by May 23rd; if not paid, your team will not be placed/scheduled in a division.
- The roster will be reviewed and completed prior to the event by BSVB staff.
